Ruth Jackson Miller

Ruth Jackson Miller, 96, of Kirbyton, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at her residence.

She was born November 9, 1923 in Kirbyton to the late Jerry and Lura Jackson. “Sister” as she was known to family and friends was a member of Kirbyton Baptist Church where she played the piano at church for over 50 years. She loved her family immensely and was welcoming and encouraging to everyone else.

Ruth is survived by one brother, Martin L. Jackson of Kirbyton, two sister-in-law’s and one brother-in-law as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Robert I. Miller; her parents, Jerry Seay Jackson and Lura Martin Jackson; one sister, Rudelle Jackson Sigler; three brothers, James M. Jackson, Dr. William E. Jackson and Dr. Robert M. Jackson.

A family graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Kirbyton Cemetery with Jarrod Martin officiating.
