T.C. Carder, 96, of Paducah, Kentucky, formerly of Staunton, Illinois, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at his residence.
He was born August 16, 1921 in Burkley, Kentucky to W.P. (Will) Carder and Alma Mae Henderson Carder. T.C. was the owner of Western Auto and Ace Hardware Store. He was a member of the Masonic Order, 32nd Degree for 50 years and Shriners Lodge No. 177 in Staunton, IL. He drove a bus for 40 years.
He is survived by one son, Bobby Carder and wife Joyce of Paducah, Kentucky; two daughters, Kay Bowman of Arlington and Sonya Mainord and husband Craig of Arlington; one daughter-in-law, Gail Carder of Paducah; 12 grandchildren, Chip (Trish) Wright, Tamara (Jeff) Myers, Amanda (Kenneth) Carrico, Amye Carder, Terri Carder Cathey, Cindy (Steven) Cruse, Tim (Angie) Carder, Laura (Marshall) Thompson, Lindsey Carder, Ricky Sams Jr, Jere (Mike) Clark, Candice ( Thomas) Clifton; 13 great-grandchildren, Deirdre Wright, Andrew (JJ) Myers, Katie(Brad) Wright, Cody Carrico, Hannah Carrico, Christian Carder, David Cruse, Emma Thompson, Anna Clark, Aidan Lyman , Addy Clifton, Jessie Carder, Tristen Henson; and five great-great-grandchildren, Allison Cruse, Oliver Cruse, Owen Myers, Beckett Myers, Kyson Carder; and longtime companion, Myrtle Slack.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth M. Schneier Carder; two sons, Jerry Carder and Ricky Sams; three brothers, Howard Carder, Joe Carder, Charles Carder; one sister, Lorraine Carder Flake, and his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11 a.m. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. Mark Burnett and Bro. Keith Osborne officiating. Burial will follow the service at Burkley Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington. Masonic Rites at 7:00 p.m.
