Tilmond Darrell Morefield

Tilmond Darrell Morefield went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2018.  He passed away at Heartland Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Darrell was born in Arlington Kentucky but was raised and lived in St. Louis, Missouri.  Growing up in St. Louis led him to be an avid Cardinals fan.  He played on many baseball teams and eventually even coached a few.  After retiring from Nixdorn Chain Company as a machinist, Darrell moved back to Kentucky where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.  Darrell proudly served his country in the United States Navy.

Darrell is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol Morefield; four daughters, Pam Morefield of St. Petersburg, Florida, Tammy Lucero and husband Patrick of Orlando, Florida, Paula Willingham and husband Ronnie of Milburn and Shelli Hamilton and husband Dusty of Cunningham; eleven grandchildren, Justin Morefield, Ashley Terrasi, Mariah Lucero, Rodney Taylor, Angelo Terrasi, Macey Lucero, Drannon Moore, Tassie Hale, Kayla Moore, Veronica Campbell and Ila Hamilton and three great-grandchildren, Cayson Holder, Kaleia Calkins and Trinity Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Morefield and his parents, Tilmond and Hazel Nelson Morefield.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Glen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow the service at Milburn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
