Rosa Mae Worley Feast formerly of Paducah died at her home in Palm Harbor, FL on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the age of 86.
Rosa Worley married George Feast in 1947. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents John and Veneita Worley, a son James and two brothers Glen Worley and James Worley, a sister Annie Catherine Jordan.
She is survived by a daughter Julia Pharisien and three grandchildren, Tessa Rose, David Cole and Reid ”Little Brother” of Naples, FL . She is also survived by two brothers, Ollie Worley of Sierra Vista, Arizona, Howard Worley of Mayfield, KY and six sisters Mary Alice Henson of Jackson, TN, Nina Ivey of Dukedom, TN, Gladys Wall of Martin,TN Ruth Ochoa of Houston, TX, Helen McGowan of Troy, TN and Shirley Edwards of Benton, KY; lifelong friends Darrell and Jane Bollinger of Reidland, KY and Drs. Jason and Karen Bannister and family of Paducah, KY.
Rosa reared her children in Lone Oak and was the owner of the local “Burger Bar” and worked at the Katterjohn Building for Mr. George Katterjohn at Katterjohn Concrete Products before retiring to Florida.
A celebration of life service was held at her favorite beach, Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, FL on Mother’s Day.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 25 at 3 pm at the Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah, 2975 Old Husbands Rd. 42003 Exit 11 off I-24 with Rev. David Bayer officiating. Visitation will be after 2 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mt. Kenton Cemetery in Lone Oak.
