Miss Alice Arnett, age 75, of Louisville, KY and formerly of Calloway Co. died at 7:10pm Saturday at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born April 16,1937 in Calloway Co, to the late McKinley & Verona (Hartsfield) Arnett. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, in Louisville, KY where she served as a volunteer Librarian. She retired in 1988 from Greenwood Elementary School in Louisville,KY with 30 years of service as the Librarian. She was a member of The Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.Miss Arnett graduated from Hazel High School in 1955, and received her degree in elementary education, and her Master's degree in Library Science, from Murray State University. She is survived by her sister; Julia Burkeen (James O.) of Reidland, KY, one nephew; James McKinley Burkeen, of Murritta, CA, one great niece,one great nephew, eight cousins, and many special friends in Louisville, and Calloway Co. Funeral services will be heldat 11:00am Wednesday at BLALOCK-COLEMAN & YORK FUNERAL HOME, withRev. David Garrett, Pastor of Reidland United Methodist Church officiating.
