Mr. Billie Dean Nelson, age 83 of Benton, KY passed away Friday, February 22, 2019, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Born Monday, June 3, 1935 in Marshall Co., KY, he was the son of the late William David Nelson and the late Bertie Alice (Jeffrey) Nelson.
Billie worked in Michigan and California in the automotive manufacturing industry. He honorably served his country in the U. S. Army. He was baptized at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Benton, KY.
Surviving are his son, Robert Nelson of Columbus, IN, sister, Myra Joan Treas Roberson of Chattanooga, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Garry Wayne Nelson and a sister, Mary Brooks Collie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Rev. Rodney Wallace officiating. Interment follow the service in the Fairdealing Cemetery, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
