Carlon "Butch" Cantrell

Carlon “Butch” Cantrell, 72, of Clinton, KY died Monday, October 20, 2014 at his home.

Born December 26, 1941 in Tiptonville, Tennessee, Butch attended First Assembly of God in Clinton. He retired from Harper Hams.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Edith Cantrell; a son, Jamie Cantrell; and one sister, Carolyn Davis. 

He is survived by two daughters, Kim Barnett (Herbie) of Almo, Kentucky, Dawn Mays (Scott) of Murray; a sister, Margie Walker (Tommy) of Memphis, Tennessee;  eight grandchildren, Jacob Cantrell, Kala Phillips, Austin Barnett, Ashton Barnett, Peyton Mays, Carson Mays, Hunter Mays and Parker Mays;and a great-granddaughter, Brylee Phillips.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 24, 2014 at Imes Funeral Home and Crematory, downtown Murray. Burial will follow at Hicks Cemetery in Murray. Vincent Clinard, Darren Price, Darryl Watson, Danny Garrett, Ray Mason, Sr. and Austin Barnett will serve as pallbearers. 

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 23 between 4 – 8 PM at the Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.
