Mrs. Carol Anne Thompson, age 58, of Benton, KY, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at UK Healthcare in Lexington, KY. She was a member of Brewers and McKendree United Methodist Church. She was the 4-H Program Assistant Director of the UK Cooperative Extension Office in Marshall County. She was much loved by all who knew her, especially her 4-H kids.
She is survived by her husband of 35 years Glen Thompson of Brewers, KY; her Parents: Terry and Sandra (Thomas) Leonard of Folsomdale, KY; one daughter, Glenda Byars and husband Gary of Hardin, KY; one son, Brandon Thompson of Brewers, KY; two brothers, Barry Leonard and wife Kelly of Folsomdale, KY, Andy Leonard and wife Andrea of Folsomdale, KY.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ellis and Adell Leonard and George and Mattie Thomas.
Funeral Services will be held, Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the
chapel of Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY. Rev. Richard Dowdy will
officiate. Burial will follow the service in the Brewers Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on
Sunday at Collier Funeral Home in Benton, KY.
