Cecil E. Barnes, Jr.

Mr. Cecil E. Barnes, Jr., 93 of Benton, KY passed away  Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Oakview Manor Healthcare Center in Calvert City, KY.

Born Monday, January 24, 1927 in Venice, IL, he was the son of the late Cecil E. Barnes, Sr., and the late Madeline (Marcus) Barnes. He was retired from T and R Conctruction, moving to the lakes area from Montgomery, IL.  After retirement he enjoyed fishing, yard work and his faithful companion Benji.

Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Norma (Wilkerson) Barnes of Benton, KY;  sons, Cecil R. Barnes, wife Paula of Montgomery, IL, Randy L. Barnes, wife Mary of Oswego, IL and Greg S. Barnes, wife Brenda of Sheridan, IL; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Janice K. Barnes.

In compliance with the CDC's health and public safety directives, a service celebrating the life of Mr. Cecil E. Barnes, Jr. will be held in Illinois once the directives have been lifted.
