Mr. Curtis Ray Yearry, Sr., 67, of Murray, passed away peacefully at his home following an extended illness on Tuesday, May 15, 2018. Curtis was born on July 21, 1950 in Lake City, Arkansas to the late L.L. Yearry and Mable Haynes Yearry. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He was employed by Gillespie in Paris for ten years and Purdom Motors in Murray for ten years and was a member of Beacon of Hope Ministries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jessie Yearry and Jimmy Yearry. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Margaret Colson Yearry, to whom he married on July 10, 1970; a son, Curtis Ray Yearry, Jr., of Almo; a daughter, Kimberly Yearry Williams (Brent) of Murray; two brothers, Donald Yearry (Linda) of New Concord and Wendell Yearry (Janie) of Murray; two sisters, Lorene Spence (Archie) of Sugar Tree, TN, Reba Harris (Jack) of Murray and three grandchildren, Dalton Yearry, Jayden Ray Williams and Logan Cole Williams. The funeral is set for 1 PM on Thursday, May 17, 2018 the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Brent Williams will officiate and burial will follow at Barnett Cemetery. Pallbearers include Michael Mize, James Yearry, Robert Yearry, Joseph Yearry, Lannie Mize and Keith Yearry. Honorary pallbearers are Gary Yearry, Wayne Yearry and Larry Stubblefield. The family will receive visitors from 4 pm-8 pm on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Heritage Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to defray final expenses. The Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
