Mr. Donnie Kell, 74, of New Concord, Kentucky died Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

He was born on March 31, 1941 in Fulgham, KY to the late Cloy Alfred and Fern Ellen Bradley Kell, Mr. Kell served four years in the U.S. Army. He taught history at Benton Elementary and was elected as both the Judge Executive and the County Court Clerk in Clinton, KY, serving one term in each office. Additionally, he served as Commissioner of Rural Highways under then Gov. Wallace Wilkinson, and was the barber at Southside Barber Shop in Murray since 1992. Mr. Kell was an avid golfer and hunter.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of 15 years, Rose Ann Oakley Kell of New Concord and two daughters, Katie Thornton, husband Robert of Elizabethtown, KY and Lisa Kell of Hazel.

Graveside services are planned for 1:00 PM, Thursday at the Clarks Cemetery in in Fulgham. Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray is in charge of arrangements.
