Lamberson, Dorothy
Mrs. Dorothy Lamberson, 84, of Murray, died Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her residence.
Born August 18, 1927 in Joelton, TN, Mrs. Lamberson was a retired telephone operator of South Central Bell and a member of the Friendship Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. Simpson, and her second husband, James F. Lamberson; her parents, Louis and Clara Moses Perry; and two sisters, Shirley Hyder and Ruth Simmons.
Mrs. Lamberson is survived by two sons, James Simpson and wife Marlene of Benton, KY, and Harold Simpson and wife Donna of Joelton, TN; three daughters, Joyce Noel and husband Thomas of Kirksey, KY, Cynthia Bodkin and husband Jimmie of Elkins, WV, and Connie Raines and husband Kenneth “Herbie” of Nunnelly, TN; a brother Max Perry and wife Jackie of Joelton, TN; fifteen grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; and loving caregivers Carolyn Bugden and Shannon Guerrero. In addition, the family would like to express their gratitude to the Murray-Calloway County Hospice staff.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2012 at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Nashville. Bro. Josh Herndon will officiate.
The family will receive visitors from 5 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2012 at Imes-Miller Funeral Home in Murray, KY.
