Eddie “Ratchet” Bearden, 75, of Hickory, passed away at 2:45 PM on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Mr. Bearden worked in Maintenance for 31 years at the State Highway Department, a member of Wice Memprial Baptist Church, Coon Hunters Association. Eddie loved riding horses and mules, he was an avid dog lover, Kentucky Wildcat Basketball Fan and St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Fan, he also enjoyed having lunch with his friends at Hoskins BBQ in Folsomdale, KY.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diane Bearden of Hickory; two daughters, Melissa Franklin of Marshall County, Sharri Stroud of Hickory; one brother, Will and wife Janet Bearden of Benton, AR; one aunt, Louise Kressler of Paducah; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Viola Bearden.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Frankie Goode and Bro. Paul Hatcher officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
