Mrs. Emma Anderson, 91, of Murray, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Mrs. Anderson was born on August 8, 1926 in Metropolis, IL to the late Harry and Bessie Irwin Brenningmeyer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Anderson; four brothers, Earl, Harold, Kenneth, Lindell Brenningmeyer and a sister, Ollie Alliston. Those surviving her include a son, Vernon Anderson (Brenda) of Murray; a daughter, Carol Jane Hess (Bill) of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Betty Jean Cockrell of Metropolis, IL; four grandchildren, Bryan Anderson, Brent Anderson, Lauren Harness, Lindsey Hess and six great grandchildren, Millie, Hadley, Slone, Kaylee, Cate and Mia. The funeral service is set for 1 PM on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Matt Ellis and John Cockrell will officiate and entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah. Pallbearers include Bryan Anderson, Brent Anderson, Steve Brenningmeyer, David Brenningmeyer, Dennis Brenningmeyer and Bill Cowan. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM-1 PM on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Heritage Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Westside Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 207 Robertson Rd. South, Murray, KY 42071.
