Gerald Eugene Barnette, age 67, of Springfield, TN, formerly of Paducah, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 1:55 p.m. at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He attended the Church of the Living God CWFF. He was a graduate of both Paducah Tilghman High School and West Kentucky Vocational Technical School.
He was formerly employed at Western Baptist Hospital in Environmental Services.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Earl Barnette and Fannie Frances Williams Barnette, and one brother.
He is survived by one daughter, Shae Barnette of Hendersonville, TN; one son, Jari Barnette of Madison, TN; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three brothers; Doyle Robinson, Aurora, IL; Randy Springfield, Paducah, KY; Ronald Springfield, Antioch, TN; two sisters, Francene Barnette, Atlanta, GA; Celia Edwards, Paducah; three aunts, several, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2019, 12 Noon at Greater Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Alfred Anderson and Reverend Michael Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
