James M Rogers, 49, of Murray died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home.
Born January 4, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan, James was a teacher, with the Trigg County Board of Education before falling ill. He had received his bachelors degree from Murray State University.
James was preceded in death by his father, Danny Mason Rogers and a sister, Michelle Rogers.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Wyatt Stow, husband Dean of Paducah; a brother, Dan Rogers, wife Penny of Hendersonville, TN; a sister, Jeanette Hill of Murray; six nieces, Alison Rogers-Miller, Emily Rogers, Kaneesha Rogers, Sasha Rogers, Christian Rogers and Jodecie Rogers; two nephews, Donnell Rogers and Savon Rogers as well as several cousins.
A memorial service is being planned for Sunday, March 29, 2015, between 1:00-3:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Sycamore Street in Murray.
In lieu of flowers the family request all donations go to the Murray High School marching band.
