Jerry Mac Downey

Mr. Jerry Mac Downey, 63, of Murray, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at his residence. Jerry was born in Murray to Buford and Peggy Garland Downey on November 30, 1954. He was employed at Murray State University and a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Suzi Downey; two sons, Michael Downey of Murray, Casey Butterworth of Atlanta; two brothers, Earl Downey (Loretta) of Rives, TN, Dennis Downey (Donna) of Murray; four sisters, Terry Whitworth (John) of Mayfield; Margie Vance (William) of Murray, Patricia Rogers (Bobby) of Benton, Laurie Lucas (Scott) Clinton, TN; grandson, Roland Downey of Paducah and two aunts, Eula McGehee and Dean Downey both of Murray. He is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM, Friday at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray, 311 N. 4th St., Murray. Kevin Harris will officiate. The family will receive visitors between 10 AM to 12 PM, Friday at the funeral home.
