Jim D. Laycock, 57, of Gilbertsville, KY, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at Marshall County Hospital in Benton, KY.
Jim was born January 5, 1960, in Greenville, KY. He worked as an iron worker and loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Zion's Cause Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Kyler Laycock of Central City, KY; mother, Jane Gossett McGrew of Benton, KY; brother, Dennis Laycock and wife Judy of Central City, KY; sister, Lisa Lorene Burch of Calvert City, KY and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James D. Laycock; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Gossett and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Laycock.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Neal and Lambert Family Funeral Home of Calvert City. KY.
