John Lynn Walls

John Lynnwood Walls, 78, of Murray, died Monday, June 15, 2015 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Born August 6, 1936 in Murray, Lynnwood was a Navy veteran and a member of St. John's Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Walls is survived by his wife, Katherine Tharpe Walls of Murray, to whom he was married January 13, 1971; a son, Keirone Kendall of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Walter Walls of Murray; an uncle, W.C. Hampton of Champagne, IL; four grandchildren, Chasity Kendall, Kori Kendall, Darius Kendall and Kordell Kendall; two great grandchildren, Cameron Kendall and Camiyah Kendall; several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Walls and Lula Mae Bowden; a daughter, Sheqontia Walls and two brothers, Harold Gene Walls and James Kenneth Walls.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at the Heritage Family Funeral Home, 121 N. Bypass, Murray. Rev. Ronald Kendrick will officiate. Interment will follow at the Murray Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors between the hours of 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
