Mr. Richard Don Smith, age 71, of Murray, KY died at 7:30am Wednesday at his home. He was born Sept. 26,1940 in New Concord, KY to the late Eurie & Pauline (Marr) Smith. He was a carpenter and home builder, an ordained deacon, Sunday School teacher for over25 years, and a member of Grace Baptist Church. He loved and worked on the family farm with his dad. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife; Donna (Bucy) Smith to whom he was married August 14,1959, two daughters; Debbra Puckett (Kim), of New Providence, KY, and Daysha Carver (Billy), of Smyrna, TN, four grandchildren; Derrik Edwards (Shawna),Whitney Sollitto (Phil), Kylea Carver, and Will Carver, and two great grandchildren; Makena Edwards and Sophia Edwards. He was precededin death by his parents;Eurie & Pauline (Marr) Smith, inlaws; Jimmie & Dora Mae Bucy, grandparents; Mr. & Mrs. Walter Smith and Mr. & Mrs. Charlie Marr. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday at BLALOCK-COLEMAN & YORK FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Joe Pat Winchester officiating. Burial will follow in McCuiston Cemetery.
