Roy Thomas Jackson, age 61, of Paducah, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, 9:47 a.m., at Lourdes Hospital.
He was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate from West Kentucky Community and Technical College. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam Era.
He was preceded in death by his parents; James R. Jackson and Catherine J. Sallee and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn M. White Jackson of Paducah; five daughters, Courtney White, Jovonda Boyd, and Tawana White, all of Paducah, Melissa Thompson of Hopkinsville, and Paige Boyd of Detroit, MI; one son, Roy Morris of Paducah; fourteen Grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harvey Sallee of Evansville, IN, Fleming Hutchinson, Doug Sallee and Eugene Jackson, all of Hopkinsville; five sisters, Mary Guthrie of Junction City, KS, Evelyn Jackson, Kathy Jackson and Jane Leavell, all of Hopkinsville, and Virginia Jackson of Augusta, GA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, April 6, 2018, 12:00 Noon, at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend James L. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow with military rites at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may also call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
