Ruby M. Harper, age 93 of Paducah, died at 10:07 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center. Mrs. Harper worked at Sears in the Snack Bar for 23 years, and then worked as a cashier in the store. She is a member of Symsonia Baptist Church.
She is survived by grandchildren, Diane Powell, Shari Harper, Billy English; great-grandchildren, Joey Harper, Arron Powell, Brittany Powell; great-great-grandchildren, Sophie Harper, Mariah Harper, Bentley English, Cooper English, Serenity Powell, Jayctin Robertson.
She is preceded in death by husband, Thomas N. Harper; son, William “Bill” Charles Harper; parents, Lubie and Clara Eggner Summerville; sister, Jewel Cashen; brothers, William F. “Billy” Summerville and Charles H. Summerville.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 with Rev. Rick Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah Monday, December 8, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
