Albert “Dick” Mainord, 87, passed away at his home in Arlington, KY at 10:08 p.m. on May 11, 2015.
He was a farmer, former minister and member of Crowe Congregational Methodist Church in Matthews, MO., and a member of the Southeast Missouri Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame.
He is survived by his daughters, Teresa Lynnette Lathem and husband, Mark of Fort Knox, KY and Lisa Lorene Polivick and husband, Dewayne of Murray, KY; his sons, Craig Dempsy Mainord and wife, Sonya of Arlington, KY and Albert Keith Mainord of Paducah, KY; his sister, Sarah Ann Thompson of Matthews, MO; his grandchildren, Jere Clark, Candice Clifton, Sarah Miller, Aaron Polivick, Ian Lathem, Avery Lathem, and Emily Lathem; his great grandchildren, Aidan Lyman, Addyson Clifton, Annalise Clark, and Kennedy Miller.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Olene Roberts Mainord, his parents, Jim and Lorene Dowdy Mainord, his sister, Mary Kathleen Harbison, and his brothers, Jimmie Lee Mainord, Bobby Dale Mainord, and Carl Eugene Mainord. Services will be held at Crowe Congregational Methodist Church in Matthews, MO. at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the church. There will also be a visitation at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington on May 15, 2015 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
