JoAn Hayden Moss Duke, age 84, of Amory MS, passed away at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Oak Tree Manor in Monroe Mississippi. Mrs. Duke was born in Clinton KY, she was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church. JoAn was a retired worker from West Kentucky Manor Nursing Home, where she worked as an LPN. She also worked for Harpers Country Hams, Columbus Bellmont State Park and she was also a homemaker.
Mrs. Duke is survived by her husband, Jerry W. “J.W.” Duke and his two daughters, Kathleen O’Hara of Atlanta, Ga, Janice Lynn of Mount Pleasant, MI; her son, John L. Moss and wife Patrice of Arlington KY; two grandchildren, Kayla Burpo, Kacie Moss; her step grandchildren, Courtney Ring, Chassidy Eddlemon, and Colby Eddlemon; one great grandchild, Asher Kai Burpo, and two step great grandchildren, Britne Ring, Zayden Anderson; several nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by first husband , John L. Moss; parents Ernest Hayden and Georgia Lepchenski Hayden; two sisters, Mabel Russell and Ilene Everett; and one brother Ivan Hayden.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 7, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Rev. David Sphinx officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Milner and Orr Funeral of Arlington on Friday, August 7, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
