John Anthony Poffenberger

Mr. John Anthony “Tony” Poffenberger, age 64 of Clinton passed away 2:22 AM Sunday, July 13, 2014 at Baptist Health of Paducah.  Tony was an Air Force Veteran and former Deputy Sheriff of Clinton, KY.  He is survived by his mother, Adele Poffenberger of Fulgham; 2 sons, James “Jimmy” Poffenberger of Atlanta, GA and John King of Ledbetter, KY; 3 daughters, Montanee Muakmuenwai Thompson of Mayfield, Mary Poffenberger Johns of Somerville, AL, and Nicoma King Black of Clinton; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father, John William Poffenberger.  Private Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014.  Donations: Mission House, 111 West Clay Street, Clinton, KY 42031.  Brown Funeral Home in Clinton are in charge of arrangements.
