Martha Louise Slayden Rushing, age 92 of Clinton passed away Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, Worked as inspector for Merit Clothing and Brown Shoe, activities director at Arbor Place and a Homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Wayne Rushing of Clinton, KY; daughter, Ellen Hancock of Newbern, TN; Brother, Warren Slayden of Lone Oak, KY; 2 Grandchildren, Justin Lee Hancock of Dyersburg and Hallie Rushing Davis of Cotulla, TX and 1 Great Grandchild, Hunter Drake Hancock of Dyersburg, TN.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Dee Rushing; Parents, Walter and Roberta Meshew Slayden; 2 Sisters and 3 Brothers.
Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Monday, December 2, 2019 at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton with Rev. Kevin Keeling officiating. Burial will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held after 11 AM Monday at the Brown Funeral Home in Clinton.
