Casper Glenn “Cat Daddy” Tally, age 81, of Tiline, went home to be with the Lord at 1:35am on Monday, March 23, 2015 from Baptist Health Care of Paducah.

Casper was a faithful member of the Tiline First Baptist Church, and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War.

 Casper was no stranger to hard work; he was a 55 year member of the Heavy Equipment Operators Local Union 181. He specialized as a finish man with a bulldozer, spending 35 years with Jim Smith Construction Company.

Casper’s hobbies included hunting and fishing, but his passion was competing in tractor pulls all over the country.

A faithful husband, loving father, grandfather, and loyal friend, Casper’s presence will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Casper is survived by his Loving wife of 55 years, Virgie Blair Tally, two sons, Danny G. Tally, and his fiancée, Pam Hall, Jimmy W. Tally, and his wife, Lisa, one daughter, Tracie Tally Belcher, and her husband, Todd, all of Tiline. Other survivors include five grandchildren, Danna Noel Tally, of Smithland, Dakota Blair Tally, of Tiline, and her fiancé, Aaron Carter, and Jamiee Suzanne Tally, of Tiline, Blair McKenzie Belcher, and Carter Jack Belcher, also of Tiline.  Casper is also survived by a great-grandchild, Nyxxan Grace Logsdon, of Smithland, a special niece, Tina Campbell and her husband, Roger, of Tiline, and a cousin, Carl Roger McDonald, of Tiline, along with several other nieces and nephews.

Casper was preceded in death by two brothers, James H. Tally and Bobby Jack Tally, and a sister, Betty Tally, and a brother-in-law, Jewel Blair.  His parents were John Elbert “Jack” and Bessie Gaines Tally.

Graveside services for Casper will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Leeper Cemetery in Tiline, with the Rev. Kenny Odom and Wayne Carter officiating, Full Military Honors will follow.

Casper’s family will gather to receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Smith Funeral Chapel in Smithland, Ky.
