Mr. Darrell Wade Treas, 76 of Benton, KY passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY. He worked construction for Pip Johnson Construction, then was a patrolman for the Marshall Co. Sheriff's Department where he retired December 31, 1998. After retirement he began working for the Marshall Co. Road Department. He was a member of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, Benton, KY.
Born Friday, June 19, 1942 in Marshall Co., KY, he was the son of the late William Howard Treas and the late Ola Mae (Wright) Treas.
Surviving are son, Mike Treas (Kyle Edwards) of Chattanooga, TN, daughter, Jodi Holsapple (Kevin) of Benton, KY; 3 grandchildren, Lyndsi Hughes (Tim) of Hoover, AL, Hanna Holsapple of Benton, KY, Skyler Holsapple of Benton, KY; 1 great-grandchild, Kennedi Hughes of Hoover, AL, and close friends and neighbors, Blake and Kayla Youngblood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gerald Wayne Treas, and sister, June Carolyn Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY. Bro. Mark Thweatt officiating.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
