Gene Edward Gross, 71, of Ledbetter passed away at 10:20 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Gross was a member of the Carpenters Union and worked as a Superintendent for Traylor Brothers in Evansville, IN. Gene was a Veteran of the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War, Certified Commercial Diver, Hardhat Diver & Scuba Diving during construction, a member of the VFW of Paducah and a member of Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Paducah.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy (Hughes) Gross; daughter and son in-law, Tina and Jody Holmes of Paducah; one brother, Ronald Ray Gross of McCutchanville, IN; one sister, Helen Carr of Mt. Vernon of IN; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cheryle Glee Gross; his parents, John Will Gross and Ava Gross; sister, Lawanda June Baggett; brother, David Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Hughes Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bud Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
