Harold Bennett Shouse, 92, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 in Salem, KY. Harold was born July 26, 1923 near Joy, KY, to Willie Daniel and Mary Parker Shouse. He lived near Joy for over 50 years, and has lived in Lola for the past 40 years. Harold was a chemist inspector and worked for Essex Wire until retirement. He was a longtime member of Lola Pentecostal Church.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents and brother William James Shouse. He is survived by nephew Ronald William Shouse (Beth), niece Debby Middleton, niece Pam Papp Claycamp (Tom), and all of their families. He is also survived by cousin Paul Glen Shouse (Brenda) and family of Carrsville, KY, cousin Bob Workman (Mae) of Paducah, cousin Eugene Trimble and family of McKinney, TX, and many other cousins. Harold also left behind Arlene Roberts, his special friend for many years. Visitation will be 9:30 – 11:00 am Saturday, May 14 at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY. Funeral service will be at 11:00, with internment to follow at Bethel Cemetery.
