Mrs. Kathleen M. Downs (McDougle), 91, began her eternal life at 11:20 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018. Katie had a wonderful sense of humor, a woman who loved the Lord, her family and church family at Pathway Baptist Church, her life as a wife, mother and was a talented seamstress.
She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Richard Downs of Calvert City, KY, one son, Mark Downs (Jo Thieleman) of O Fallon, IL, daughter, Debbie Jones (Jim) of Calvert City, KY, sister, Jean Garber of Rochester, IN; six grandchildren; Brandon Downs, Nick Downs, Natalie Routh, Justin Friedman, Justin Jones, Janissa Jones and 8 great grandchildren.
Katie was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters; Mary Jennens and Helen Smith.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Baptist Church, Calvert City, KY. Pastor Mike Donald will officiate.
Friends may visit with the family after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Baptist Church, 229 West 5th Avenue, Calvert City, KY 42029.
Collier Funeral Home has been entrusted with Katie's services.
