Josephine Ashley, 90, of Grand Rivers, KY Passed away at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the home of her niece, Nell Mathis. She was the retired owner and operator of the Lake City Fruit Market and was of the Baptist faith.
The family would like to say a very special Thank You to her niece, Nell Mathis for all her love and special care that she gave to Josephine.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Hart of Paducah, KY; sons, Bobby Ashley and wife Pat of Kuttawa, KY, Billy Ashley and wife Cindy of Kuttawa, KY; sister, Mary Agnes Walton of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Barry Ashley, Kimberly Clapp, Ashley Hart and Abby Hart; one great grandchild, Kinley Clapp.
Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ashley; sister, Noma Lee Housden; brother, Erie Smith. Her parents were Jack Smith and Dovie Hodge Smith.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Palestine Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Weber officiating.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
