Mr. Robert Freeman Flood, age 88 of Grand Rivers, KY died on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at his residence. Born Friday, March 12, 1926 in Henry County, TN. He attended Lake City Missionary Baptist Church, was a 50 year plus member of the Scottish Rite, an avid sportsman and gunsmith. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served honorably during World War II.
Mr. Flood is survived by his daughter Marilyn Faye Smith of Grand Rivers, KY; 2 grandchildren, Rob Smith of Grand Rivers, KY and Cheryl Solomon and her husband Mike of Edwardsville, IL; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Colton Smith and Morgan Jamison and her husband Johnny of South Fulton, TN; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild Macy Jamison; 1 brother, Bill Flood and his wife Susie of Union City, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Blondal Lilly Flood, daughter Carol Thomas, and 2 brothers Lewis and Eura Flood. His parents were the late Hoyt and Beulah Walker Flood,
Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 22, 2014 at 5:00 pm at the chapel of Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
Burial with Graveside and Military service will be held on Tuesday September 23, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Dixon Cemetery, Grand Rivers, KY.
Visitation will be held on Monday September 22, 2014 between the hours of 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
