Roscoe Black, age 76 of Grand Rivers, KY passed away at 5:58 a.m. Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Christian Care Center of Kuttawa. Roscoe was of Baptist faith and a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a retired Electrical Engineer having worked in construction. Roscoe loved fishing and his cub cadet so he could keep his yard looking good and then in the fall, raking and blowing leaves off of the yard.
Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Judith Patricia Smith Black, one daughter, Tammy Dawn (Michael) Washam, Paducah, KY; one son Roscoe Jeffrey (Jennifer) Black, Paris, TN; one sister, Barbara Ann Yelton, Hodges, S.C.; one brother, Johnny Lee (Margie) Black, Dunn, N.C.; five grandchildren, Ethan Black, Savannah Trovillion, Matthew Black, Ryan Black and Brittney Washam; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were his parents, Newt Lee Black & Estell Saxon Black; three sisters, Sue Kennedy, Helen Allen, Mary Black; one brother, Thomas Black.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Brook Hill Cemetery in Lone Oak. Visitation will be held on Wednsday, July 10, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
