Ms. Tayler Leigh Riley, 24, was born in Naples, Florida on December 2, 1994. She soon became a Marshall County girl so that she could be closer to her extended family. She was a determined, independent little lady that had a wonderful smile. Those things and a certain amount of sass were her trademarks until her death on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

As a little girl, Tayler loved the lake, but hated wearing a life jacket. She liked being the teacher and playing school with her younger brothers. She was creative and very hard-working. As a middle school student, she was chosen as a People to People International Foundation participant. She had the opportunity to represent her state and country abroad and work on leadership and community service projects. Her favorite trip was to Australia where she had the opportunity to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. She was a member of the girl's softball league in Calvert City and played as a member of the Marshall County Girl's Softball Team. She also participated in track.

Tayler graduated from Marshall County High School in 2013. She attended the University of Kentucky with an emphasis on graphic design. She loved photography and was interested in journalism. Throughout high school and college, Tayler worked at her family's restaurant, "Miss Scarlett's" in Grand Rivers. Tayler was a member of the Calvert City Church of Christ.

Tayler is survived by her mother, Carla Riley and brothers, Addison and William, all of Gilbertsville. She is survived by her grandfather, Carl Hamilton of Benton. She is also survived by her aunt, Vivian Collins and cousin, Kacy (Chevy) York of Benton. Tayler's brothers, Jeremy, Dillon, and Sawyer Riley and numerous members of the Riley Family also survive her.
