Ulis Odell Buford, 80, of Smithland died at 12:40 PM Friday, February 27, 2015 at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services.
Mr. Buford was an Operator for the Local Union 181 of Paducah and a member of Lighthouse Church in Ledbetter.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Jones) Buford of Smithland; 3 daughters, Linda Belt of Smithland, Donna Hawk of Smithland, Patricia Garman of Smithland; 2 brothers, Marvin Buford of Smithland, George Buford of Smithland; 6 sisters, Virgie Benak of Smithland, Clara Quetermous of Smithland, Dorothy Lawless of Smithland, Martha Burroughs of Justice, IL, Betty Hale of Paducah, Peggy Monroe of Smithland; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 2 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Ecclus Buford and Helen Louise (Armstrong) Riley; 2 brothers; 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Ledbetter Lighthouse Church with Rev. Judy Warren and Rev. Therold Futral officiating. Burial will follow at Cothran Cemetery in Smithland.
Friends may call from 12 noon until service time Sunday at the church.
