Mr. Darrell Louis Howard, age 53 of Gilbertsville, KY., passed away Monday, August 4, 2014, in Gilbertsville, KY. He was a member and former youth pastor at Gilbertsville First Baptist Church. Mr. Howard was a member of the Laborer's Local 1214 in Paducah, KY.
Surviving are his mother, Betty (English) Burkeen of Benton, KY; brother, David Howard, wife Debbie of Calvert City, KY, sister, Debbie Howard of Kuttawa, KY; nephews, James Michael Howard of Kuttawa, KY, Matt Howard, wife Brandi of Gilbertsville, KY, niece, Melissa Howard of Norfolk, VA; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James William Howard, step-father, William J. Burkeen; step-brothers, William Darrell Burkeen and Phillip David Burkeen.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025.
Interment will follow in Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Collier Funeral Home.
