Mr. J. E. Brasher, 81, of Marion KY passed from this life on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at his home.
Mr. Brasher was a retired coal miner and a member of Seven Springs Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bobbie R. (Brown) Brasher of Marion KY; a daughter, Debbie (Brasher) Johnson of Marion KY; a son Wade Brasher of Owensboro KY; three sisters, Mary Ruth Manns of Peoria IL, Shirley Sprangler of Cadiz KY, and Linda Devillez of St. Louis MO; six grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sons, James Brasher, Perry Brasher and Gary Brasher; and his parents Elmer Brasher and Virginia (Asbridge) Deboe.
Services are scheduled for Monday, April 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM, at Seven Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro.’s Bobby Garland and Jim Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in Asbridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services and will continue at the Seven Springs Missionary Baptist Church on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 9:00 AM until the funeral hour.
