Louise Hunter Slaughter

Mrs. Louise Hunter Slaughter, 89, of Henderson, KY, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. She is survived by two daughters, Sandy Linzy (Kenneth Belt) of Salem, KY, and Peggy Penn of Ledbetter, KY; one son, Donnie Y. Hunter (Darlene) of Salem, KY; three step-sons, Steve Slaughter of Port Aransas, TX, Rick Slaughter (Evelyn Barr) of Hebbardsville, KY, and Randy Slaughter of Henderson, KY; two step-daughters, Debby Patterson (Lanny) and Pam Crawford (Bill) both of Henderson, KY; one brother, James Todd of Tolu, KY; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren; several great, great grandchild; 15 step-grandchildren; 38 step-grand grandchildren; and three step-great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin York Hunter; her second husband, Manuel “M. E.” Slaughter; daughter, Mary Stewart; three brothers, Elmer Todd, Eldo Todd, and William “Bill” Todd; two sisters, Marie Hunter and Carrie Agent; and her parents Benjamin F. and Mary Clark Todd. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Bro. Israel Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Tyner’s Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour in the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services in Salem, KY.
