Ruth Agnes Riley

Ruth Agnes Riley, 98, of Benton, KY passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 5:50 am at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky. Mrs. Riley was a former school teacher and also worked at Ashby Chair Factory.  She was a member and Sunday School Teacher at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.  She was also a former treasurer of the United Methodist Women Society.

She is survived by a daughter: Darlene Miller (Steve Smith) of Benton, KY; three sons:  Ronnye and wife Janice Riley of Benton, KY,  Dennis and wife Phyllis Riley of Benton, KY, Craig and wife Faye Riley of Benton, KY,; eight grandchildren: Jennifer Gillespie, Valerie Smothers, Jill Story, Tony Miller, Heather Fiessinger, Sherry Whitler, Chad Riley, Bryan Riley; thirteen great grandchildren: Kalynn Smothers, Kobe Gillespie, Abby Fiessinger, Jacee Story, Megan Fiessinger, Riley Gillespie, Emma Miller, Evan Whitler, Mason Riley, Donovan Miller, Owen Whitler, Olivia Miller and Meredith Riley.

Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her husband: Talmadge Carmen Riley; a brother: Charles Thomas Carter and a sister: Ann Douglas, and a son-in-law: Larry T. Miller.  Her parents were Ivan and May Crawford Carter.

In compliance with Gov. Beshear order, the funeral and burial for Mrs. Riley will be private.  A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date when the order is lifted.
