Thomas D. Gamble

Mr. Thomas Gamble, age 66, of Benton, KY died on June 18th, 2020 in Benton, KY.

Thomas is survived by his wife Ruby Gamble, children; Tommy (Katrina) Gamble, Melody Green (Darrell Howell), and Angela (Andrew) Baker, grandchildren; Ethan Thomas Gamble, Kayley and Carson Howell, Gracelyn, A.J, Kinlee, and Eliza Baker; four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by parents; Mary Elizabeth and Vernon Dell Gamble, and siblings; Gail Coffenberry and Ricky Gamble.

Thomas was born on September 14, 1953. He married Ruby Smith Gamble, the love of his life, in 1972. Thomas and Ruby had three children that remember him as a firm and loving Christian father who encouraged them to pursue their goals, love the Lord, and above all else "Don't sweat the small stuff".

Thomas was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was an accomplished mechanic and truck driver who loved racing, fishing, gospel singing, worshiping the Lord, and Christian fellowship. He was a member of Elva Baptist Church, where he spent many years serving as a Sunday School teacher and song leader.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, June 22, 2020 at Collier Funeral Home, located at 211 West 5th St, Benton, KY 42025 with the Rev, Mike Littrell and Rev, Joel Frizzell officiating. 

Burial will follow at New Sandhill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Collier Funeral Home.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Thomas's life.
