Clifton Castleberry

Mr. Clifton Castleberry, 86 of Murray, KY, formerly of Benton, died on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at his home.  He was a retired supervisor for B.F. Goodrich where he worked for 36 years and was a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church where he also served as a Sunday School Teacher.

Born Tuesday, October 31, 1933 in Marshall Co., KY, he was the son of the late Ira Curtis Castleberry and the late Martha Lucretia (Thompson) Castleberry. 

Surviving are his wife, Helen (Colburn) Castleberry of Murray, KY, children, Carrie McDonald, husband Mike of Benton, KY, Cathy Lane of Paducah, KY, Rick Castleberry, wife Sherry of Calvert City, KY, Teresa Vincent of Symsonia, KY, step-children, George Bowles (Natalia) of Florida, Jim Bowles of Lexington, KY, Betty Ann Bowles of Colorado Springs, CO, grandchildren, Angel Mathis, husband Jeremy of Clinton, KY, Kim English, husband Justin of Benton, KY, Kyle Lovett of Benton, KY, Kelly Hart, husband Jason of Guatemala, Dalton Castleberry of Charleston, SC, 7 great-grandchildren, brother, Kinney Castleberry of Benton, KY, and sisters, Josephine Myers of Warren, MI and Anna Castleberry of Benton, KY.

He was preceded in death by grandchild, Scott Bradley McDonald, brothers, J.B. Castleberry, Donald Ray Castleberry, Brooks Castleberry, John Ed Castleberry, Bryan Castleberry, and sister, Lounell Reed.

A Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, KY 42025 with Rev. Scott Penick officiating. 

Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Benton, KY.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 13, 2019, at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th, Benton, KY.
