Clifton “Clif” Griggs Sr., 67, of Calvert City died on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Griggs was a retired towboat captain and U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving is one son, Cliff Griggs Jr. of Eddyville; one daughter, Jenny Palmer of Cedar Rapids, IA; three brothers, Joe Gene Griggs, James Robert “Bob” Griggs, John L. Griggs; one sister, Jane Ann Walsh; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Griggs; and two brothers. His parents were Archie and Dorothy Griggs.
Private family burial will be held.
Cremation Society of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
