On Monday, February 19, 2018 surrounded by his closest family, Don peacefully entered the heavenly gates. Don spent the early part of his life as an employee of Nilo Barge line. His hobbies included hunting, riding his four wheeler and enjoying his family. He loved his farm in Crittenden County where he would hunt and enjoy the beautiful scenery. He belonged to Salem Masonic Lodge #81. In 1975, he married the absolute love of his life. Their bond was unbreakable. He loved to enjoy Pat’s cooking, long drives on beautiful days, visits to the farm, and spending time with his family. Don was beloved by his entire family for his wit, classic one liners and impeccable sense of humor. He’ll forever be remembered by all that loved him as a creative story teller and will be forever affectionately known as “The Grouch” by his grandkids. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Patricia Lee Radcliffe of Paducah, KY; daughter Kim Dupree (Steve) of Paducah, KY; two granddaughters, Brandy Holley (Brian) of Mt. Sterling, KY and Aimee Thorn (Aaron) of Benton, KY; five great grandchildren, Liza Holley, Chandler McCoy, Landen Thorn, Jack Holley and Anniston Thorn; one sister, Pam Clardy (Joe) of Benton, KY; two nieces, Crystal Hopkins and Tonya Burnham; and one nephew, Charlie Radcliffe. He was preceded by his parents, Ethel and Hal Radcliffe; three brothers, Terry, Eddie and Harold Radcliffe; and one sister, Shelby Radcliffe Barnes. Pallbearers will be Brian Holley, Aaron Thorn, Charlie Radcliffe, Steve Dupree, Dale Davis and Keith Thuline. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Chandler McCoy, Landen Thorn and Jack Holley. His family finds comfort in knowing that Don was devout in his faith and currently resides with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Funeral services will be 1 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the chapel of Boyd Funeral Directors and Cremation Services with Bro. Jim Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Hampton Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 AM until the funeral hour at the chapel of Boyd funeral Directors and Cremations Services, with Masonic rites at 11 AM.
