Elizabeth Ann (Betty) McWaters Chatellier passed away 2:45 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center of Paducah.         
 Betty was born December 30, 1930, daughter of Joe and Mabel McWaters in Paducah, Kentucky.                            
 Betty attended Paducah schools and graduated from Augusta Tilghman in 1949. While at Tilghman, she served three years in the Tilghman Drill Corps under the direction of Mrs. Ruth Gunter and was a Alternate Baton Twirler.                                                 Betty attended Paducah Jr. College and later worked with the architect, D.C. Wilson, that constructed the present Paducah Tilghman High School.                                     Betty was a member of Alpha Gamma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and was President of Alpha Gamma Chapter and also President of City Council over all five local chapters.      
 Betty Worked for 23 years for Bristol Broadcasting and was sales manager for WKYX radio station.     
 She was awarded a Kentucky Colonel and Duchess of Paducah award under the administration of former Mayor Albert Jones, and was a charter member of the Ambassadors under Mayor Geraldine Montgomery.  
 Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah for over 60 years.   
 The Chatelliers were winners of the Dogwood Trail Award two times and she really cherished the dogwood trees on Jefferson Street.      
 Betty loved to travel and her claim to fame was of the 15 or more times she went to Hawaii.                  
Betty is survived by her spouse, James T. Chatellier of Paducah; one daughter, Kimberli (Wiley) Young, of Paducah; two sons, James T. (Debby) Chatellier III, of Paducah, Kevin (Lisa) Chatellier of West Paducah; one brother, Joe McWaters; one sister, Martha McFall; five grandchildren, Ashley Dukes of Okinawa, Japan, Whittney Hite of Paducah, Kevin Chatellier II of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Lauren Chatellier and Jordan Wood and seven great-grandchildren Axl Young, Scarlett Young, Gabrian Chatellier, Eaden Chatellier, Jazman Dukes, Jazara Dukes and Jaxon Dukes.     
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday November 30, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Paducah, Carson Chapel with Jeffery McWaters (her nephew) officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service hour. In lieu of flowers, family request memorial contributions to Lourdes Hospice Center. Lindsey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
