Elizabeth Bradford, age 68 of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2016. She was a member of the Harvey/Brewers community. She attended Brewers Elementary School and graduated from South Marshall High School, class of 1965. She then went on to attend Murray Nursing School. She was a member of Hardin Baptist Church.
Liz spent her life serving others as a nurse to those in Marshall County and the surrounding areas at Mayfield Hospital, Marshall County Hospital, Britthaven, and Regional Medical Associates as a nurse for Dr. Richard Colburn.
Surviving are her daughter, LeeAnn Riley and her husband Josh Riley of Benton, KY, son David Bradford and his wife Martha Bradford of Benton, KY, and step-daughter Regina Garner and her husband Bryan Garner of Nashville, TN; Seven grandchildren, Brad Overby, Wolf Nimmo, Alyssia Yeckering, Maddy Yeckering, Hunter Riley, and Lake Riley all of Benton, KY; one great-grand child, Kaylee Nimmo; sister, Phyllis Murphy and her husband Robert Murphy of Mayfield, KY; brother, Johnny Mathis and his wife Vivian Mathis of Symsonia, KY; sister, Mary Moreland and her husband Joe Moreland of Benton, KY; four nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Geneva Mathis and her brother, James Mathis.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Collier Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cunningham officiating.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 beginning at 4:00 for family and 5:00 for the public.
