Francis Palmer "Butch" Nix, age 76, of Benton, KY, died Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY. Mr. Nix was a retired service tech for Xerox and a Marine Corp Veteran serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
He was the son of the late Benson Nix and the late Frances Elizabeth (Chandler) Nix.
He is survived by his wife: Naomi Paulette (Morris) Nix of Benton, KY; one son: Steven Palmer Nix of Benton, KY; three daughters: Cheryl Fennel of Calvert City, KY, Vicki Boatright of Benton, KY, Holly Nix of Gilbertsville, KY; brothers: Emmett Albert Nix of Evansville, IN, Ed Nix of Evansville, IN; two sisters: Barbra Greenfield of Princeton, KY, Nancy Norrington of Evansville, IN, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
Funeral service will be held at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2017, with Brenda Adamson and Harold Greenfield officiating.
Interment will follow in the Marshall Co. Memory Gardens, Benton, KY.
