Ms. Janice Kay Hicks, age 67 died of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at Dawson Springs Health & Rehab in Dawson Springs, KY. She was born Saturday, May 24, 1947 in Calloway Co., Kentucky, was a member of Easter Seals, attended Marshall County Exceptional School for 20 plus years and was a member of Church Grove United Methodist Church.
Ms. Hicks is survived by 5 brothers; James Howell Hicks and his wife Ellen of Benton, KY, Larry C. Hicks and his wife Shirley of Benton, KY, Dan Phillip Hicks and his wife Jane of Mansfield, AR, Garry Edwin Hicks and his wife Donna of West Paducah, KY and Charles David Hicks and his wife Lynn of Hardin, KY; 4 sisters; Eva Gray Logsdon and her husband Terry of Reidland, KY, Ann G. Henson and her husband Tom of Symsonia, KY; Mary Joyce Spain and her husband Conrad of Huntingdon, TN and Laura Kathy Thompson and her husband Jimmy of Benton, KY and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; Ralph Eugene Hicks (infant) and Joe Thomas Hicks. Her parents were the late Ralphy Howell and Ruby Irene (Eldridge) Hicks.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday August 30, 2014 at the Chapel of Collier Funeral Home with Max Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Hicks Cemetery, Murray, KY.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 29, 2014 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm at Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY.
