Mr. Jerry Wayne Weaver, age 79, of Murray, Kentucky, died at his home on Sunday, July 5, 2020.
Mr. Weaver was born on August 2, 1940, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Robert Weaver and Nell (Gordon) Weaver. He retired from General Tire and was of the Church of Christ Faith. Mr. Weaver was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of the Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky. He also loved being outdoors, fishing, and gardening. In addition, Mr. Weaver was a United States Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Weaver.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle N. Weaver of Murray, Kentucky; they married on December 26, 1958, in Corinth, Mississippi; two sons, Tim Weaver of Murray, Kentucky and Terry Weaver and Stacey of Atlanta, Georgia; one brother, Johnny Weaver and wife Danetta of Benton, Kentucky; as well as two grandchildren, Chelsey Weaver of Murray, Kentucky and Emily Weaver of Atlanta, Georgia; as well as two nieces and five nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at the Elm Grove Cemetery with Mike Darnall officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
