Jo Ann Elkins, age 79 of Paducah, KY, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center. JoAnn was a member of the Highland Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Adult 1 Sunday School Class. She was a native of Halls, TN and a retired clerk from Watkin’s Dept. Store. She loved to sew, decoupage and was a former member of the “Kitchen Band” that performed for different groups. Jo Ann loved to volunteer for service organizations.
Survivors include two sons, Ted (Anna) Elkins of Benton, KY and Bruce (Cindy) Elkins of Murfreesboro, TN; six grandchildren, Kimberly Fonville, Chris Elkins, Pam (Roy) Hopper, Amanda (Don) Conatser, Ryan (Lisa) Elkins and Stephanie (Erik) Marschang; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceding in death by her husband, Paul W. Elkins, Jr.; parents, Lonnie Buckner & Naomi Seward Buckner; one sister and four brothers.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Revs. Bud Russell and Doug Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
